I Can't Help Myself - The Four Tops (Isolated Bass)

Today's track is something I usually wouldn't share on my blog, but it's still a very interesting genre to have stems from. "I Can't Help Myself" was released in April 1965, and also goes under the title "I Can't Help Myself", which you may know better, once you listen to the song itself. The bass track was performed by famous motown session bassist James Jamerson, who's also worked with the likes of Marvin Gaye, and many others.

Whole Lotta Love vs. Helter Skelter

Now, I'm usually not that big on mashups, but this actually caught my eye, or ear. Remix artist "Soundhog" takes both "Helter Skelter" by the Beatles, and "Whole Lotta Love" and uses the multitrack stems from both songs (Mainly the vocals and bass from Helter Skelter and the instrument tracks of Whole Lotta Love.) to bring the two together to create this energetic remix that brings so much amusement to me. It kinda makes me wonder what what a heavier version of the Beatles would've been like....

Led Zeppelin - Fool in the Rain (Isolated Drums)

Today's video comes from one of classic rock's all time best bands, Led Zeppelin. "Fool in the Rain" was released on December 7th, 1979 and was also the final U.S single released during the band's tenure. The song reached 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, on February 1980.

The Eagles - Hotel California (Isolated Guitar Solo)

Hotel California is considered another staple in classic rock history. The song was released in 1977, and is also the title track of the same album. The song has been given several interpretations by fans and critics alike, and the song has also been parodied by the likes of "The Moog Cookbook" and "Frank Ocean".

Love Spreads - The Stone Roses (Isolated Drums)

Love Spreads was released as a single in November 1994, and was included on the album "Second Coming", which was the band's second, and last album. The song was written as an attack on the traditional image of Jesus Christ, and the crusifiction of the Messiah is portrayed with a black woman on the cross. This song was also the only song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay.

The Beatles - Lovely Rita (Isolated Bass)

Yes, that's right, another Beatles track, and from Sgt. Pepper to boot! The song was released on June 1st, 1967, along with the rest of the album, and is also the 10th track. The song is also apparently about a traffic warden and the narrator's affection for her.

Queen and David Bowie - Under Pressure (Isolated Vocals)

Today's video is an isolated acapella track from one of the most iconic rock duets of all time. The song was released on the Queen album "Hot Space" in 1982, and the bassline to the song itself is considered one of the most iconic riffs of all time. Not to mention, that might've had some help from Vanilla Ice, with his single "Ice Ice Baby", which sampled the riff.
