Today's video is another funky bass riff from the 70's. Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" was originally inspired by a police brutality incident witnessed by Renaldo "Obie" Benson, and this song features Marvin Gaye's bass player, and regular funk bass player James Jamerson playing the bass on this track. He also played bass on 4 other tracks on the album, and a b-side released on a single.
